Cain’s Internship Programme offers an exciting opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in various operational functions essential to the success of any organisation. The internship focuses on equity and credit operations in the US market.

 

Company Background

Cain International (“Cain”) is an alternative asset manager specialising in real estate investment solutions. As of September 30, 2024, the firm held $17.7 billion in assets under management through its real estate equity, credit, and private equity platforms. Cain International Advisers Limited, the firm’s asset management and investment advisory division, is an SEC-registered investment adviser.



Responsibilities

  • Real Estate Equity: Work closely with the equity team to assist in underwriting, analysing, and evaluating potential investment opportunities across various asset classes. Gain exposure to market research, property valuation, financial modelling, and due diligence processes. You’ll also participate in asset management activities.

 

  • Real Estate Credit: Work alongside the credit team on the origination, structuring, and management of real estate loans. Assist in analysing borrower profiles and assessing credit risk. Learn about debt markets, interest rate dynamics, and how debt financing supports our strategic real estate initiatives.


Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

 

Relevant Skills or Experience:

  • Analytical Skills: ability to analyse financial data, assess investment opportunities, and conduct market research.
  • Financial Proficiency: familiarity with financial modelling, cash flow analysis, and valuation techniques relevant to real estate investments.
  • Communication skills: strong written and verbal communication abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Organisational skills: strong time management and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects or tasks.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Teamwork & Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to group tasks.

Duration & Hours

  • 3 months
  • 9am – 6pm with 1-hour for lunch


Compensation

  • Pro-rated annual salary of $22,000
